Dema is a fast growing ecommerce data platform helping brands connect fragmented data across marketing, commerce, finance, and operations and turn it into confident decisions using advanced measurement models and AI.
We work with ambitious ecommerce brands across fashion, lifestyle, and retail, including Acne Studios, Axel Arigato, Represent, Scuffers, and Cold Culture.
Dema is currently growing new business at +100% quarter on quarter and as we scale towards our Series A, we are building a lean AI first commercial team focused on delivering real impact for modern ecommerce organisations.
The Opportunity
This role is for someone who wants to take their first serious step into becoming an Account Executive.
The word Associate is intentional. You are not expected to be a polished salesperson on day one. You are expected to be curious, coachable, and hungry to learn.
We believe sales is a science, not a personality contest. If you can master the fundamentals, follow a proven playbook, and focus on improving the inputs, the outcomes will follow.
This is a non 360 role.
No cold calling
No outbound prospecting
No spray and pray sales
Your job is simple, but not easy:
Turn up prepared to the calls on your calendar and deliver a world class buying experience.
What You’ll Be Doing
Join live sales calls with ecommerce brands alongside senior team members
Learn how to run discovery, demos, and commercial conversations
Follow and execute Dema’s sales playbook end-to-end
Understand customer problems and map them to Dema’s platform
Ask great questions, listen carefully, and communicate clearly
Progress deals through the pipeline with structure and discipline
Learn how to forecast, qualify, and close - properly
Over time, you’ll take on more ownership with the clear goal of progressing into a full Account Executive role.
Who This Role Is For
We’re much more interested in potential than polish.
You might be a great fit if you:
Are early in your career and want to break into sales properly
Are highly coachable and enjoy structured learning
Like the idea of sales as a repeatable system, not winging it
Are organised, curious, and comfortable asking questions
Want to work in a fast-moving startup where you’ll learn quickly
Bonus (but not required):
Experience working at an ecommerce brand (marketing, ops, trading, analytics, etc.)
A genuine interest in data, technology, or how businesses grow
You do not need:
Previous sales experience
To be an extrovert or “naturally persuasive”
How We Think About Hiring
There are two ways to build great salespeople:
Hire sales experience and teach the subject matter
Hire subject matter understanding and teach the sales process
We’re open to either - and our onboarding and training is designed to support both paths.
If you bring both, amazing.
If you bring one, that’s still very workable here.
