We Are Redefining How People Approach Their Health
ZOE is combining scientific research at a scale never before imagined and cutting-edge AI to improve the health of millions.
Created by the world’s top scientists, our personalised nutrition program is radically reimagining a fundamental human need – eating well for your own body. Currently available in the US and the UK, having generated a waitlist of over 300,000, ZOE is already helping tens of thousands of ZOE members adopt healthier habits and achieve their goals.
We are also the team behind the popular COVID Symptom Study, which played a critical role in the fight against COVID in the UK and has now expanded to become the ZOE Health Study (ZHS). ZHS uses the power of community science to conduct large-scale research from the comfort of contributors’ homes to understand health and prevent disease. Our collective work and expertise in biology, engineering, data science, and nutrition science has led to multiple breakthrough papers in leading scientific journals such as Nature Medicine, Science, The Lancet, and more.
A remote-first, well-funded startup, we are backed by founders, investors, and entrepreneurs who have built multi-billion dollar technology companies. We are always looking for innovative thinkers and doers to join our team on a thrilling mission to tackle epic health problems that span the globe. Together, we can improve human health and touch millions of lives.
We value inclusivity, transparency, ownership, open-mindedness and diversity. We are passionate about delivering great results and learning in the open. We want our teams to have the freedom to make long-term, high-impact decisions, and the well-being of our teammates and the people around us is a top priority.
About the role...
We’re looking for an Executive Assistant, who will be instrumental in supporting Tim (our Co-Founder) and Sarah (our Chief Scientist) as we take ZOE to the next level.
You'll be highly organised, have exceptionally high EQ, solid remote experience, and can work at speed to ensure we keep efficient day-to-day operations.
You'll be a conscientious multitasker with a can-do attitude; a helpful, communicative and tech-savvy problem solver who can work quickly under pressure without compromising on quality.

Your role will look like...

  • Day-to-day enablement: Diary management, email inbox management, travel planning, and acting as a point of contact both internally and externally
  • Prioritising and filtering: Acting as a first point of contact, actively assessing opportunities or activities for their importance and value, and actioning appropriately such as managing King's College (KCL) connection requests for both Tim and Sarah
  • Internal communication & events: Supporting the organisation of science team offsites and ad-hoc events, and liaising with internal stakeholders around internal events (eg. Company Q&A appearances)
  • Public relations: Organise future book launches and dealing with guest lists, booking complex national and international travel, and ad hoc science conferences, board meetings and TV appearances, liaising with Tim’s publisher and agents, liaising with the PR and marketing team at ZOE
  • Ad-hoc projects: Working on a variety of ad-hoc projects, including food research and books

We think this role will be a great fit for you if...

  • You're an experienced EA with relevant C-suite and startup experience
  • You've supported more than one individual at a time, excelling at organising multiple people, managing workload and juggling conflicting priorities/expectations effectively - you love to make people’s working lives easier
  • You're helpful, proactive, approachable, and adaptable detail-orientated multitasker and problem solver, and an excellent written and verbal communicator
  • You're comfortable with ambiguity with the ability to adapt and learn quickly in a fast-paced environment
  • You're confident with remote working, comfortable with technology and associated tools (Slack, Google Workspace, Notion, PandaDoc, Zoom etc)
  • You have some event management experience including corporate and social events.
These are the ideal skills, attributes, and experience we’re looking for in this role. Don’t worry if you don’t tick all the boxes, especially on the skills and experience front, we’re happy to upskill for the right candidate.
