Project Manager, In-Orbit Demonstration Mission (m/f/d)

Luxembourg (Onsite)Full-time

Focus: Lead TerraSpark's first space-to-Earth wireless power transmission (WPT) demonstration mission, planned for launch in 2028. TerraSpark is a venture-backed deep-tech company pioneering space-based solar power. You will own the full mission plan and end-to-end WPT payload development (from early design through launch and on-orbit operations), coordinating a lean, multi-disciplinary flight team to make this first-of-a-kind SBSP mission real.

What you'll do:

  • Own the integrated mission plan and schedule from early design through launch and on-orbit operations for the in-orbit WPT demo.
  • Coordinate a lean, 6–8 person team to deliver the WPT payload and mission milestones on time.
  • Steer the end-to-end development of the WPT flight payload: requirements and architecture through design, build, environmental test, and integration with the host spacecraft.
  • Lead the practical interface with spacecraft and launch providers, including ICDs, AIT planning, and rideshare / hosted-payload integration activities.
  • Prepare and run mission reviews, keeping documentation, risks, and actions under tight control.
  • Work closely with a dedicated Space Systems Engineer who owns detailed systems engineering, while you focus on execution, coordination, and risk management.
  • Support interactions with agencies and partners, contributing to proposals, progress reports, and key technical and programmatic reviews.

What you bring:

  • MSc or BSc in Aerospace or Electrical Engineering, Physics, or a related field, with 5–8+ years' experience on space missions or payloads.
  • Proven track record delivering at least one space project through design, development, AIT, launch integration, and early operations (Phase B–D/E).
  • Strong, practical project management skills: schedules, risk and issue tracking, partner coordination, and driving projects through formal reviews.
  • Experience working with space agencies or large system integrators and delivering high-quality documentation and reports.
  • Bonus: background with RF payloads, highly integrated systems, or wireless power technologies.
  • Comfortable in a small, fast-moving team with high ownership, adaptability, and bias to action.
