Mechanical Engineer (m/f/d)

What you’ll do

• Design and deliver lightweight mechanical structures and integrate systems for our wireless power transfer demonstrators and products in the future.
• Solve structural, thermal, and materials challenges for the WPT prototypes.
• Lead hardware prototyping, fabrication, and on-site test integration.
• Create and develop thermal management systems, analyze heat transfer processes, and perform thermal testing to ensure proper functionality.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with electronics/software peers to ensure robust builds.
• Contribute mechanical design concepts to SBSP spacecraft studies.

What we’re looking for

• Degree in Mechanical, Aerospace, or Mechatronics engineering.
• Hands-on prototyping track record in high-tech mechanical systems, robotics, payloads, or aerospace prototypes.
• CAD design, structural/thermal tradeoffs, and integration skills.
• Experience in thermal analysis and cooling system design.
• Experience with rapid fabrication (3D printing, machining, composites).
• Drive to take initiative, own designs through build and test, and iterate rapidly.
