👀 The Finance Analytics at Shine

Our Finance Analytics Team sits at the intersection of Finance and Data — building the Financial Data Hub that powers accurate, timely, and easily accessible reporting across all finance departments.

Over the next year, we're creating a best-in-class business finance unit: automating reporting cycles, reducing manual effort, and building a team that spends its time creating insights — not chasing numbers. As a Revenue / SaaS Analyst, you'll be at the core of this transformation, owning the SaaS and revenue analytics layer that sits at the heart of what Shine does.

Your role as a Revenue / SaaS Analyst

You’ll be part of the Finance Analytics Team, located in the Business Finance Department. You’ll be the connecting link between Business Partnering, Budgeting as well as the Data Department in order to streamline revenue analytics processes, pain points, and reporting needs, ensuring that our reporting is reliable, insightful and is built to scale.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Own and evolve SaaS revenue reporting across products and markets — including MRR, churn, cohort analysis, CLV and LTV.

  • Collaborate with the Data team to ensure Finance requirements are correctly implemented and maintained in our data infrastructure.

  • Translate complex Finance requirements into SQL and BI tooling, driving clarity across the data pipeline.

  • Build and maintain self-service dashboards and models that empower stakeholders to access reliable revenue data independently.

  • Drive improvements in controlling processes, reporting structures, and analytical tooling.

  • Holistically observe the data and process landscape — proactively surfacing inefficiencies and proposing scalable fixes.

  • Advocate for automation and simplification across the reporting stack.

  • Support stakeholders in onboarding onto the Financial Data Hub and assist during reporting and budgeting cycles.

  • You’ll be working with colleagues from Germany, Denmark and France.

📍 Job located in Berlin or Copenhagen

About you

  • Strong background in SaaS metrics, revenue analysis, modelling, and budgeting — you're comfortable owning end-to-end reporting across the revenue lifecycle. Your background can be in Data, Analytics, Finance, Marketing or Revenue.

  • Hands-on experience with BI tools such as Power BI, Looker, Omni or similar.

  • Able to translate Finance requirements into SQL and collaborate with data engineers to implement them. Knowledge of dbt and git is an advantage.

  • High analytical proficiency and strong data literacy — you think holistically about data management and processing.

  • Advanced proficiency with Excel / Google Sheets for financial modeling.

  • Excellent proactive communication skills and an autonomous working style — comfortable presenting to and supporting senior leadership.

  • Experience in complex international settings, growth-stage companies, or high-performing finance teams.

  • Familiarity with modern cloud software administration and software architecture is an advantage.

  • Experience applying AI tools in a professional Finance context is a plus.

  • Fluent in English. German, Danish, French, or Spanish is a plus but not essential
