The E-Invoicing area at Shine
To be the unifying engine of trust for E-Invoicing and E-Reporting at Shine. We act as the Group’s compliance gatekeeper, empowering every business division to scale effortlessly across global markets.
Mission We build scalable, compliance-ready infrastructure that abstracts the complexity of e-invoicing. By handling the regulatory "heavy lifting," we enable our business units—Enterprise, CPA/SME, and Shine—to focus purely on delivering customer value.
As part of Shine’s ambitious European roadmap, you will join a powerhouse of 40 talented professionals structured across four specialized areas: Onboarding, E-invoice Sending, E-invoice Reception, and E-Reporting.
Sitting within the Global Platform Organization, your impact is truly group-wide. You won't just build for one app; you will contribute to the foundational technology serving all business divisions across Europe. You will join the Shine PA squad, a top-tier, high-performance unit that serves as the critical backbone for our scalable product development.
The Setup
Manager: You will report to Ying Zhang, Group Product Manager for the E-Invoicing Area.
Collaboration: You will partner day-to-day with dedicated Engineering and Design counterparts in a high-velocity, cross-functional environment.
The Squad: You lead a team of 1 Engineering Manager, 5 Software Engineers, and a dedicated Product Designer.
Your role as a (Senior) Product Manager
As a pivotal PM within the Global Platform>E-invoicing area>Shine PA squad, you will spearhead the strategy and delivery for a mission-critical squad. You are directly responsible for one of the Group’s top three strategic OKRs: delivering the definitive E-Invoicing solution for the French market (2026/2027) before expanding across Europe.
This role is 80% Backend / API-driven and 20% Frontend. You are the architect of the invisible flows that make the complex feel simple.
Key Responsibilities:
Product Strategy & Vision: You don't just execute; you define. You will translate the "Global Platform" vision into a concrete product strategy for the Shine PA squad, ensuring our E-invoicing infrastructure becomes a competitive moat for Shine.
High-Stakes Roadmap Ownership: You will build and manage a complex, multi-quarter roadmap and OKRs. You must balance the "immovable" deadlines of French regulatory cycles (2026/2027) with the long-term goal of modularizing the platform for international expansion.
Ruthless Prioritization: Operating in a high-pressure environment with tight resources, you will make the hard calls. You’ll use data-driven frameworks to prioritize backend scalability, partner integrations, and user experience, ensuring the squad always works on the highest-leverage tasks.
Strategic Partnerships: Own the technical and commercial integration with Serensia PA. You will leverage their endpoints to build the microservices that power our core product features.
Cross-Functional Orchestration: Act as the "Platform Liaison," ensuring multiple feature squads are perfectly aligned with E-Invoicing requirements.
User Journey Ownership: Direct the end-to-end Onboarding and Offboarding flows within the Shine app, ruthlessly optimizing for both user conversion and regulatory compliance.
Regulatory Mastery: Translate high-stakes French and European regulations into seamless technical product requirements.
📍 Job located in Paris, Berlin, and Copenhagen, with possibility of two remote working days per week.
About you
We are looking for an "Extreme Ownership" profile—someone who thrives when the stakes are high and the technical complexity is deep.
Availability: Priority will be given to candidates who can start ASAP to hit our 2026 milestones.
Experience: 3–5 years as a Product Manager or Entrepreneur. You must have a strong technical intuition and a basic understanding of API-first products.
Execution: A proven track record of high-velocity delivery to stay on track for the release deadline.
Communication: Professional fluency in English and French (C1 level minimum). You must be able to navigate complex French regulatory texts and lead technical discussions with French-speaking stakeholders.
Stakeholder Management: Highly organized with the gravitas to manage senior leadership and external technical partners.
Bonus Points:
Deep domain expertise in E-Invoicing (PDP, PPF, or general Fintech compliance).
Experience working in a "Platform" or "Enabler" product team.
As your manager, I will do the best I can to support you, help you get onboarded and help you grow!
