Sales & Business Development
Posted on Dec 20, 2025

Shine exists to help freelancers and small business owners reclaim the joy of working for themselves.

Running a business shouldn’t mean drowning in financial admin — it should be inspiring and rewarding.

By bringing together leading European fintechs like Shine, Kontist and Tellow, we’ve built a single, intuitive platform combining banking, invoicing, accounting and admin, so entrepreneurs can focus on what really matters.

We’re a multicultural team of 400+ people across France, Germany, Denmark and the Netherlands, united by a shared mission: making self-employment simpler and more human.

Sales at Kontist (by Shine)

We’re building a new Sales function for Kontist in Germany, and this role will be one of the first hires on the ground.

You’ll join our Berlin office, sitting closely with the German Customer Support team and Product. You’ll also collaborate with our experienced French Sales team, who already run a similar setup for Shine.

This is a hands-on, high-impact role focused on one clear mission:

  • You’ll sit close to the German CS team (4–5 people in the office, others remote)

  • Full-time position

  • 2–3 years of experience in a customer-facing role (Sales, Inside Sales, BDR, or similar)

  • Comfort with high call volumes and complex products

  • Confidence to independently manage your day and priorities

  • Strong communication skills, you build trust quickly and explain complex topics simply

  • Maturity and ownership: you know when to push, when to ask, and when to escalate

  • Curiosity and willingness to learn a complex product (banking, payments, transfers)

Nice to have (not mandatory)

  • Experience in Fintech, SaaS, or B2B banking

  • Previous exposure to startups or scale-ups

  • Interest in how financial products work behind the scenes

Education background is not a deciding factor.
