👀 Legal at Ageras
All of our departments are being structured, and many projects are about to be launched, which increases the need for legal support within the teams and across different countries. The legal team is engage in multiple legal disciplines, including banking law, product development, and litigation support, ensuring continuous learning and growth.
This team is The team is made up of 3 people, divided into two team: Privacy and Legal and —which you will be part of.

📋 Your Role as a Legal Counsel
Your mission will be twofold:
- Participate in structuring the legal department,
- Ensure that the interests of the company and its clients are protected by building the company's legal knowledge.
You will work closely with compliance and product teams, providing strategic legal input and influencing company success. Your contributions will directly impact Ageras' ability to grow and remain compliant in complex markets.
Your responsibilities will include:
➡️ Regarding the global Ageras group, in general :
- Lead Responsibilities:
- Banking Law Expertise: Handle complex banking law matters, ensuring alignment with regulatory frameworks and addressing practical legal requests from teams.
- Product Team Support: Partner with the product team to:
- Draft and review Terms of Service (TOS) for new and existing offerings.
- Advise on competition law, consumer law, promotions, and regulatory questions related to product development and features.
- Compliance Support: Collaborate with the compliance team to facilitate licensing efforts and maintain adherence to regulatory requirements (only on the legal aspects)
- Support Responsibilities:
- Litigation Assistance: Provide dedicated support for litigation matters, ensuring timely and effective resolution.
➡️ Regarding Germany, in particular
- Contracts Management: Assist with:
- Reviewing and negotiating German contracts to ensure compliance with local laws.
- Drafting and negotiating banking-related contracts, safeguarding organizational interests.

🔎 About you
- You have a legal qualification with 3-4 years of experience.
- Your proficiency in German legal contracts gives you a deep understanding of local legal frameworks.
- You have strong expertise in banking law and product compliance.
- You are experienced in supporting product teams and litigation processes.
- You have strong analytical and problem-solving skills with keen attention to detail.
- Your excellent communication skills enable you to explain legal concepts to non-legal stakeholders.
- You are proactive and collaborative approach to cross-functional teamwork is your moto.
- You are able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- You have an experience in a fast-growing environment and/or a knowledge of Danish law would be a plus.
- You are fluent in German and English (mandatory).
