Quantum Simulation - Research Intern

Participate in the rapid development of a deep-tech start-up at the forefront of the second quantum revolution!

About Pasqal

PASQAL designs and develops Quantum Processing Units (QPUs) and associated software tools.

Our innovative technology enables us to address use cases that are currently beyond the reach of the most powerful supercomputers; these cases can concern industrial application challenges as well as fundamental science needs.

In addition to the exceptional computing power they provide, QPUs are highly energy efficient and will contribute to a significant reduction in the carbon footprint of the HPC industry.

Job Description

The quantum simulation team is looking for an intern interested in the field of Quantum Simulation with a solid background in quantum spin models and many-body physics to reinforce our Simulators team.

Within the Simulators team, you will be instrumental in designing experimental protocols with the intention that they will be be implemented directly on the PASQAL Quantum Processors. This implies helping to develop the team’s portfolio of experimental implementation methods; your focus will be in the field of analog quantum simulation in near-term neutral atom hardware.

Alongside experienced research staff your responsibilities will include: performing a deep literature review in the field of analog quantum simulation of many-body physics; benchmarking promising state-of-the-art protocols and protocols for quantum simulation.
