Job Description
The Protocols team within Performance division at PASQAL, is looking for a motivated Junior engineer to join the team at the interface between quantum algorithm design and hardware development.
As a key member of our R&D hardware department, you will play a critical role in reviewing algorithms from the Software department, ensuring optimal functionality amidst hardware limitations. You will also provide numerical and theoretical support in the development and implementation of new hardware features.
In this context, your main missions will be :
- Develop a high-level understanding of quantum hardware.
- Develop and enhance numerical simulation tools to model hardware noise errors on quantum algorithms.
- Use simulation tools to review and optimize quantum algorithm performance considering Hardware constraints.
- Collaborate with hardware teams to develop new features using your knowledge acquired on Light-Matter interactions.
- Extract meaning full insights from experimental data.
- Prepare detailed and insightful reports on simulations outcomes and communicate results between teams from different departments.
About you
You graduated with Bac+5, you may also have up to 3 years of professional working experience in quantum physics, data analysis or quantum computation, which would be very much appreciated. Strong analytical and synthetical skills, as well as rigor and organization are expected on top of a good level of written and spoken English to collaborate efficiently with your stakeholders at PASQAL.
Hard skills:
- General knowledge of quantum physics (light-matter interactions, quantum computing).
- Interest for the experimental physics.
- Programming skills: Python, Latex, ...
- Computer skills: office automation tools.
- Ability to manage several tasks in parallel.
