Job description

As Head of Solutions – Korea & Asia Pacific and a founding member of the Solutions team based in Seoul, you will build, grow and manage the quantum algorithm development and solutions engineering activities in Korea and in the Asia Pacific region. In particular, you will be in charge of developing quantum applications geared towards Pasqal technology with clients and partners in the region and worldwide.

Your missions and responsibilities will include:

• Build, grow, and manage the Korea & Asia Pacific Solutions team: attract talented researchers, engineers, and developers, providing guidance, direction, and support to team members, ensuring the progression of projects. The team will be made of multidisciplinary expertise, including in particular optimization, simulation, and machine learning scientists, engineers, and developers.

• Identify opportunities and lead the development of projects with partners, selecting those who are relevant considering our existing solutions and/or aligned with our algorithms’ development roadmap and with our hardware capabilities.

• Work closely with Business Development, Product Management, Sales and Marketing teams to expand our customer base by developing hybrid quantum solutions integrated within larger, end-to-end customer workflows.

• Ensure proper transfer of knowledge with HQ Algo R&D teams.

• Collaborate with the other HQ Software teams around the usage and development of the libraries of Pasqal Quantum Software Stack.

• Ensure alignment and communication with the European team as well as with partners in Korea & Asia Pacific.

• Represent Pasqal Quantum Applications within the local and regional technical and scientific ecosystem.

• Provide technical guidance for the progress of projects, mitigating intrinsic issues coming from low TRL work.

• Maintain a collaborative relationship with algo teams in all Pasqal teams worldwide.

• Keep a regular technological watch.

• Have an inventive activity in the scientific and technical fields related to Pasqal’s research, products, technologies and markets, to create a strong portfolio of IP in quantum applications and file patents.
  

About you

MSc or PhD in one of the following fields: Operations research, Machine learning, Quantum Computing / Information / Physics.

7+ years of experience in managing technical projects for solution development in algorithms and/or computational applications

Experience leading successful consultative customer engagements.

Experience in building, operating and growing solutions that solve customer needs.

Operational knowledge of quantum computing capabilities.

Report / documentation writing skills.

Korean and English fluency.

Nice to have requirements

People management experience and ability to attract and grow top talent.

Demonstrated experience developing and delivering quantum computing solutions.

Domain expertise in computational / quantum science, optimization, machine learning, or high-performance computing.

Professional or personal experience in international and multicultural environments.
