Job Description

As part of our strong growth, we are recruiting a Simulation Engineer to reinforce our Cold & Vacuum team.

In this context, your main missions will be :

  • Building imulations of mechanical properties of cryostats (frequency response analysis, static analysis, random vibrations analysis, elastic wave propagation in solids and piezo materials, etc.).
  • Building simulation of thermal properties of cryostats (thermal conductivity in solids, mechanical contact heat transfer analysis, thermal stress analysis, etc.)
  • Conduct experimental verifications of the results retrieved from numerical analysis
  • Make suggestions of potential solutions of identified drawbacks in a cryostat design
  • Writing documentation and technical reports
  • Being up to date with state of the art achievements in relevant engineering and scientific fields

About you

  • You have a strong experience in the utilization of Finite Element Method software (COMSOL or equivalent) in mechanical and thermal analysis
  • You have basic knowledge of CAD software products (e.g. SolidWorks)
  • You showcase proficiency in writing technical documentation and presentation of results
  • You are sensitive to experimental work (experience highly appreciated)
  • Experience in cryogenics is a notable asset
