About Pasqal
PASQAL designs and develops Quantum Processing Units (QPUs) and associated software tools.
Our innovative technology enables us to address use cases that are currently beyond the reach of the most powerful supercomputers; these cases can concern industrial application challenges as well as fundamental science needs.
In addition to the exceptional computing power they provide, QPUs are highly energy efficient and will contribute to a significant reduction in the carbon footprint of the HPC industry.
Job Description
With operations in three continents and rapid business growth, Pasqal the leader in neutral atom quantum computing, is currently reinforcing its public policy practice globally. In this context, Pasqal offers an attractive internship to support the Global Public Policy Lead in the set-up of the practice and the delivery of high-profile public policy campaigns.
The intern will notably contribute to a large range of diverse activities including:
- Monitor and analyze quantum policy, regulatory developments in key markets of Pasqal’s interest considering upcoming/recent elections
- Map and structure the policy quantum ecosystem globally
- Contribute to policy though leadership developments and positions including on quantum sustainability, competitiveness and skills
- Support the development of Pasqal’s public policy operations via knowledge management and information sharing and structuring
- Prepare policy notes, briefing to educate policymakers on quantum and internal stakeholders on key quantum policy issues at stake
- Contribute to the preparation of high-profile policy events.
About you
You are still enrolled in a student program and will soon be gratudating, and have the following assets:
Hard skills:
- Public policy shaping
- Advocacy
- Communication
- Technology awareness in the field of quantum technology will be an asset
- Knowledge /experience in sustainability applied to digital technologies
- Knowledge of public procurement and subsidies policy-life cycle will be an advantage
Soft skills:
- High ethical standards and integrity
- Able to adapt, work autonomously and creatively
- Project management skills
- Eager to learn
- Excellent drafting skills
- Business acumen
- Fluent in English and French any other language will be an asset
Degree requested
- International and/or European Affairs or
- Public Policies or Political Economy or
- Engineering in conjunction of a business and/or policy background or
- End-of-study internship in the same above fields
- Preferred Sciences-Po, London School of Economics
The internship is however open to any motivated student with the relevant skills to successfully perform the described above activities.
