We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Senior Category Manager to drive sustainable growth in one of our key categories on OLX platforms across Europe. In this role, you will pair up with different teams - from analytics, to marketing, product and tech - to help define the future development of Europe’s biggest online classifieds platform into a product that customers love. You will be a part of a high-performing, incredibly smart, and diverse team.
This position is hybrid in either our offices in Poznan or Warsaw. Candidates must be based and eligible to work in Poland.
What you will be doing:
- Active category management to ensure revenue growth is in line with business objectives and market trends
- Continuously monitor and analyze category metrics to ensure its health and identify opportunities for improvement and growth
- Prepare and own the budget for the category, ensuring all financial goals are met while optimizing for performance and efficiency
- Develop and implement changes to offers and implement pricing strategies to stay competitive and drive value for both the company and users
- Maintain a deep understanding of the underlying market and assess how external conditions impact the business, using these insights to inform strategic decisions
- Create and execute a comprehensive category growth strategy that leverages market trends and company strengths
- Work closely with the product team to align on development needs and bring to market new product features that support category growth and user engagement
- Work together with various functions such as customer support, data analytics, marketing, management, and legal teams on projects that contribute to category expansion, and ensure smooth operations
Who we’re looking for:
- The ideal candidate will possess a blend of strategic thinking, analytical acumen, and strong leadership skills. They should be proactive, results-driven, and capable of navigating complex market dynamics. Key skills and qualifications include:
- Minimum of 5+ years of experience in category management, product management, or a related field, with a proven track record of driving revenue growth and managing budgets effectively
- Strong analytical skills to be able to work efficiently with analytics teams and evaluate market trends and category metrics, identify opportunities for improvement, and drive data-informed decision-making
- Ability to develop and execute comprehensive growth strategies that align with company objectives and leverage market trends
- Demonstrated experience in budgeting and financial management, demonstrating pragmatism
- Ability to assess how external factors and trends impact business operations
- Excellent team collaboration and influencing skills, capable of working closely with cross-functional teams
- Outstanding verbal and written communication skills to effectively convey complex ideas and influence stakeholders at all levels
- Proactive problem-solver who can navigate challenges and adapt to evolving market conditions
