Storia is where 3 million+ users buy and sell property online in Romania monthly. It is the Real Estate dedicated platform of OLX and provides listers with visibility on both Storia and OLX. Storia together with OLX.ro Real Estate is the leader in the market in terms of traffic and value delivery to our professional clients. Apart from Storia, more than 4 million users visit the OLX.ro website, in the Real Estate category. OLX.ro is the 2nd most visited website in Romania.
As the Sales Manager for Storia in the Romanian Real Estate business, you will be leading our efforts to scale & grow our business in the B2C segment. You will build out and directly lead Storia Sales (hunting and farming) in Romania through professional acquisition, onboarding, and account management activities. You will have the opportunity and autonomy to design, plan, and execute all the strategies and tactics to achieve our people and financial objectives. But, also to create new businesses through Partnerships, Collaborations, and building on the many exciting growth opportunities that are out there.
In short, you will be the entrepreneur of the team, understanding the customer, and the real estate market and building new opportunities from these insights. Plus, you can aspire to an international career inside of our Group based on your ambitions.

What will you be doing?

  • Manage the sales team (telesales and field sales) by empowering, coaching, and leading team members to continually deliver results, go above and beyond, and stretch for increasingly higher levels of impact across all core operational metrics
  • Define business strategies with accelerated growth in a highly competitive, classified industry, by exploring innovative ideas and approaches whilst continuing to develop our existing product and organization
  • Be able to execute in short-term sprints while maintaining a vision for long-term sustained benefit
  • Collaborate constantly with national and international partners to share knowledge and connect with teams around the region (Romania, Poland, and Portugal)
  • Establish long-term business relationships with key partners for the Group
  • Manage sales forecasts accurately (Meet and exceed revenue), set budgets and goals for the team
  • Implement/lead/oversee client events, social engagements, and sponsorships based on local market dynamics and broad business knowledge
  • Represent the Storia Brand at client/agency summits through public speaking, panel moderation, and keynotes
  • Hire, manage & develop sales specialists within the local market
  • Engage with key clients on a senior level, and deliver outstanding consultative customer service
  • Analyze, validate, and update performance to maximize growth
  • Develop best practices and demonstrate cost efficiencies that can scale from local to global
  • Maintain high levels of communication and transparency with management, cross-functional teams, and business partners internally and externally

What will you need to be successful in this role?

  • You are a great coach and leader. You can inspire and teach your team the art of sales, and instill confidence in them. A great communicator capable of listening to the needs of many stakeholders, and able to then communicate their vision and requirements back to stakeholders of all levels
  • Love people management. You’ll be leading an incredibly talented team. So you will need to know how to develop, lead, motivate, and get the best out of people. For that, we expect you to have experience managing medium sales teams (from Inside sales teams with Business Development Representatives to Account Managers) and Key Account Managers with proven results
  • Unparalleled business judgment and critical & creative thinking skills with the ability to use data to quickly establish the highest value priorities and develop a strategy to pursue them
  • High energy and motivational leadership that is driven by personal influence and example with direct staff, peers, and senior leaders across all company functions
  • Experience working closely and communicating efficiently with internal and external partners in a constantly evolving and rapidly growing environment
  • Proficient in English (please submit your CV in English)
  • Entrepreneurial spirit & love for working with a diverse team
  • Great communication, consultative selling, problem-solving, and negotiating skills
  • You have a deep understanding of the digital ecosystem and trends around digital, programmatic, and video best practices, opportunities, and challenges
  • You have mastered the fundamentals of sales management and leadership including forecasting, client research, pitch and presentation skills, bottoms-up planning, and meeting reports
  • You have leadership experience with successful management skills and lead by example
