Your opportunity

We are looking for a Senior Machine Learning Manager to lead our Root Cause Analysis Team.

The team develops novel solutions that are setting a new industry standard for application and system observability. AIOps is an emerging field in the IT operations ecosystem that focuses on augmenting existing operations with machine learning and data science approaches. By Working with huge datasets and modern data analysis frameworks, we are finding new ways to automatically observe applications, improve the understanding of production incidents, and eventually, provide Root Cause Analysis.

What you'll do

    Mentor and grow your team, encouraging a culture of innovation and collaboration while ensuring the team's skills align with evolving challenges

    Partner with cross-functional teams and stakeholders, ensuring solutions meet diverse needs and communicating team progress effectively

    Harness vast datasets to develop and refine ML solutions, collaborating with data engineers to optimize infrastructure and analysis

    Pioneer's innovative machine learning solutions for enhanced observability, promoting faster and more accurate incident detection and resolution

    Drive the vision and strategy Root Cause Analysis, aligning with New Relic's goals and the dynamic AIOps landscape

    This role requires

      Proficiency in major machine learning frameworks and libraries like TensorFlow, PyTorch, Scikit-learn, etc.

      5+ years of proven experience leading highly successful engineering teams

      7+ years of proven experience in machine learning or a closely related domain

      A bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or equivalent experience, focusing on AI/ML/DL

      Bonus points if you have

        Experience working in the AIOps domain or familiarity with its challenges and opportunities

        Publications or contributions to major AI/ML journals or conferences

        Ph.D. in Computer Science, Machine Learning, Artificial Intelligence, or a related field

        3+ years of developing production-grade applications in Python

        Experience with AWS

        Experience with deploying Machine Learning models in production

        Estimated Base Pay Range: $ 186,000 - $ 233,000
        The pay range above represents a reasonable estimate of the salary for the listed position. This role is eligible for a corporate bonus plan and may be eligible for a competitive equity package. Pay within this range varies by work location and may also depend on job-related factors such as an applicant’s skills, qualifications, and experience.
