At New Relic we are looking for an experienced HR professional that enjoys working in a fast paced environment with a highly impactful Global HR Business Partner team. The HRBP will be a trusted advisor and a strategic problem solver that naturally excels at building strong relationships that includes positive challenge and negotiation skills. The HRBP should demonstrate passion to strategically partner with the global HRBP team, People Team, Finance, and Tech Leaders to drive a growth and innovative culture! 
As a Human Resources Business Partner you will provide support to the Product organization within the Americas region. The role will provide support in a manner that is consistent with local laws and standard methodologies. The HRBP will help shape the future of work through strong partnerships, data analysis, and trending issues. This role will balance business unit goals and HR results while thoughtfully balancing the global strategy, delivery of business outcomes and a positive employee experience! 
What you'll do
  • Partners closely with the HRBP Product team in the Americas to connect on strategies, key priorities and processes. Supports senior business leaders and Relics in key HR lifecycle processes. Advises, influences and develops people and talent strategies to drive regional and global business alignment.
  • Coaches and influences managers and Relics on all aspects of HR lifecycle processes, policies and programs. 
  • Acts as a leader and liaison for change and can thoughtfully design and implement a change management plan in a positive manner with minimal disruption to product rollouts, key projects, etc. 
  • Partners with our People Team, Finance and other parts of the organization to develop and/or deliver strategic HR initiatives that include: organizational design, talent management, employee relations, compensation, culture, diversity, talent development, and performance management to provide creative strategies and solutions for the business.
  • Actively partners with leaders and DEI Deputies to meet DEI goals and improve organizational culture. Makes it a priority to lean in and understand the goals and strategies of the business and develops strategic and tactical HR plans in alignment with the goals of the business. 
  • Leads and serves as advisor and coach on initiatives to successfully use HR processes and resources to achieve business results, exceed strategic objectives and adapt to and manage organizational and business changes.
  • Proactively partners with our Talent Acquisition team to share information and develop successful recruiting strategies.
  • Leads and / or serves on special HR assigned project teams and business unit committees. 
  • Adheres to and / or sets new standards / upleveling of standard practices and methodologies. Analyzes data and trends and recommends, develops, and delivers on plans to improve employee experiences, including engagement, dei, retention and performance.
  •  Supports compliance of all local laws and regulations, security and integrity of data including personal and confidential information.


This role requires
  • Degree in Human Resources or a related area.
  •  5+ years of HR Business Partner experience with an organization that is fast paced and customer driven.
  • 5+ years of demonstrated experience coaching and being a thought partner with leaders at various levels (front line leaders - executives).
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills (English).
  • Prior work experience with an international global company. 
  • Solid knowledge of local labor laws and compliance requirements in the Americas.
  • Generally, has in-depth experience in one or more HR subject areas (recruitment, compensation, employee relations, benefits, etc).
  • Experience interpreting data, diagnosing issues and making business recommendations. 
  • Experience managing local site / regional challenges and complex regional projects while working across multiple geographies with HRBPs, COEs and Finance partners.


Bonus points if you have
  • HR experience with a global SaaS organization (preferably experience supporting Product/Technical organizations).
  • SHRM - SCP, SPHR or PHR certification.

Estimated Base Pay Range: $ 95,000 - $ 119,000
The pay range above represents a reasonable estimate of the salary for the listed position. This role is eligible for a corporate bonus plan and may be eligible for a competitive equity package. Pay within this range varies by work location and may also depend on job-related factors such as an applicant’s skills, qualifications, and experience.
