Job Description

ABOUT THE JOB

The Role is accountable for supporting the growth of NielsenIQ’s Strategic Analytics & Insights (SA&I) business with key strategic local and regional clients in Greece, fostering profitable revenue expansion, and increasing awareness of the broader SA&I portfolio.
The key objectives of the role are the ownership of key local and regional client relationships, leveraging the knowledge of the FMCG industry and NielsenIQ’s products and services as well as the close cooperation with the local sales team, regional sales practice area team, project execution team, operation team, and data analytics teams internally and overlooking total sales process for market.
The role will involve aligning customer priorities with NielsenIQ’s capabilities, identifying and capitalizing on opportunities to deepen commercial relationships and generate additional revenue. Among key responsibilities are managing a dynamic sales pipeline, accurately forecasting sales for the respective portfolio, and driving results through multiple sales drivers, including prospecting, campaigns, and other account engagement tools.


RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Take ownership of revenue generation, driving profitable growth for a target list of clients.
  • Develop and execute strategic account sales plans, aligning with SA&I market/cluster leaders, and ensure consistent performance through the management of sales pipelines, setting sales quotas, and providing monthly sales forecasts.
  • Lead the renewal and negotiation of contracts while delivering revenue goals, maintaining a long-term growth focus.
  • Continuously engage with key decision-makers, influence strategies, and drive sales opportunities to help clients achieve their objectives (identifying opportunities, running capability meetings, preparing proposals, negotiating proposals).
  • Developing Strategic Analytics & Insights business with new Clients: identifying needs, building relations, building awareness of research solutions, preparing proposals, negotiating.
  • Building research awareness in and outside of the organization: presenting at conferences, client and internal events. Understand emerging market trends and interdependencies impacting customers; leverage understanding to expand relationships / new personas within own clients.
  • Act as a resource for colleagues with less experience.
  • Cooperating with the execution and operations team.
  • Own a sales target across multiple clients within Strategic Analytics and Insights.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Native Greek + good client service skills and ability to communicate and write effectively in English
  • 6+ years of professional experience in market research, advanced analytics and/or other marketing & analytics services and/or sales functions/business development roles
  • Bachelor’s degree in social sciences, business management or any related field
  • Knowledge in consumer and shopper research methodologies and/or Analytics (preferred)
  • Ability to build strong relations with Clients, strong communication and Client management skills
  • High Negotiation, Problem Solving & Communications Skills (verbal and written)
  • Excellent Presentation Skills
  • Strategic thinking and vision
  • Intellectual curiosity and persistence to find answers to questions
  • Accuracy and attention to detail
  • Work collaboratively effectively with internal & external teams
  • High say-do ratio
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Microsoft tools
  • Knowledge in the usage of CRM and sales reporting systems (like MSD, PBI, Salesloft, etc.)
