As a Senior Security Engineer within the SecOps Squad , protecting Back Market's information assets is your first priority. Our SecOps team handles both Security Architecture & Engineering topics, as well as active monitoring, incident response & remediation activities.

Being a domain expert and evangelist of cybersecurity best practices you will :

  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of the company's security posture, ensuring our defenses are resilient to threats.
  • Share your time between supporting and advising technical teams, automating and improving security controls, enhancing our security framework, mentoring fellow Security Engineers, and, generally speaking, leading the design, build, and operation of modern security solutions that scale.
  • Contribute to monitoring security alerts & events to identify potential threats & incidents, Investigate & analyze security incidents to determine the extent and impact of the breach, collaborate with other teams to gather and analyze threat intelligence & maintain and improve security incident detection and response procedures.

We aim for excellence so we are counting on you to support and advise our teams on the technical security aspect of these challenges.

What we're looking for :

  • You are a talented engineer with solid fundamentals, and at least 5 years experience of securing web services in dynamic cloud environments.
  • Proven experience as a Security Engineer / SOC analystStrong understanding of cybersecurity principles, techniques, and best practices
  • You believe in the importance of security automation following a secure development lifecycle, and developing your own scripts and tools is a no-brainer to succeed in your mission.
  • You are equally comfortable utilizing and tuning off-the-shelf products.
  • Be comfortable conducting Security Requirement Analysis & propose cybersecurity architectures based on the analysis.
  • Threat intelligence and attack patterns expertiseFamiliarity with SIEM tools, network and endpoint security technologies
  • You are passionate about cybersecurity, hands-on, and eager to contribute code to our in-house modern security technologies.
  • You are curious, rigorous, and enjoy exploring new methods and technologies.
  • You are transparent in your communication and are able to find solutions with your team when you don't have an answer.
  • You like to share knowledge, and make your colleagues aware of good cybersecurity practices, by supporting your proposals with concrete examples and demonstrations.
  • Your skills are recognized by a certification such as CCSP or CSSLP, SANS GCSA/GSOC/GCIH, CKA/CKS, BTL1, CSA CCSK, GCP or AWS Cloud Security Certification - or you are ready to obtain it in the near future.
  • You want to join a challenging technical environment: GCP, Kubernetes, ArgoCD, Terraform, Datadog, Cloudflare, Google Chronicle, Github, CircleCI etc., where you can learn, develop and gain responsibility.
  • Proficient in several coding languages such as Python, TypeScript, Golang, etc.
  • Great verbal and written communication skills in English.
