The role of the Sustainable team as Back Market is to find ways to make our impact even more positive. And this means spreading good practices, developing partnerships in our ecosystems to foster circular tech and change in consumption habits, and supporting all teams in their daily engagement for our Home Planet. You will join the Head of Sustainability to roll-out of Back Market sustainability roadmap and to develop new projects supporting the company leadership in terms of positive impact.

The role of the Sustainability team is to support the company leadership in circular tech, to ensure Back Market’s exemplarity in its practices, to engage the company’s stakeholders with its mission. Joining the team you will be reporting directly to Back Market’s Head of Sustainability.

The role will require to travel in France or abroad from time to time.

YOUR MISSION (IF YOU ACCEPT IT): 🏅

  • Lead and coordinate the roll-out of the societal/community pillar of Back Market’s sustainability roadmap
  • Define an action plan to achieve the company’s roadmap objectives
  • Consolidate and roll out the company’s sustainable purchase policy
  • Strengthen good business practices within the company
  • Lead and promote our philanthropic activity (budget management, action coordination, and promotion
  • Foster stakeholder engagement
  • Employee engagement: develop initiatives to improve employee engagement, support the roll-out of structuring projects for the company (e.g. our carbon strategy), facilitate the internal sustainability ambassador program.
  • Mission Committee: ensure the Committee’s involvement and functioning
  • Sellers: support and promote sellers' sustainable performance with new services and projects
  • Customers: develop and promote new projects to raise awareness about the impact of tech to foster a change in consumption habits
  • Contribute to Back Market ESG performance reporting
  • Enhance ESG reporting processes
  • Coordinate update and delivery of the annual Non-Financial Performance Declaration and of the Mission report.

YOU ARE IN THE RIGHT PLACE IF: ⭐

  • You are perfectly fluent in french and english
  • You have a solid professional experience in project management and stakeholders management (min. 5 years experience), experience in sustainability is a plus.
  • You are comfortable working transversally with several teams and leading work groups.
  • Master’s degree level preferred, a degree in sustainability/CSE or social management is a plus.
  • Good communication skills, written and oral.
  • Excellent handling of Excel and PowerPoint
  • Proactive, pragmatic, social, teamwork, rigorous, curious, and adaptable
