We are looking for a motivated and enthusiastic software developer intern (for a Master's degree end-of-study internship) who is committed to helping us make the world a better place. You will join our experienced software shipping team.

The team comprises eight people sharing the same passion for scale-ups, gathering various skills from development, monitoring, and implementing procedures and tools. The Software Engineers Interns will work closely with the backend services and monitoring tools. You will participate in the growth and success of BackMarket by ensuring the performance of Development teams through accurate monitoring and implementation of improvement actions.

The expected profiles are backend engineers with skills in coding (ideally Python) and familiar with using a Linux system and the command line.

Your mission (If You Accept It):

• Within the shipping team, improve the monitoring of failures in label generation.
• Implement procedures and tools to regenerate failing labels automatically, whereas in the current implementation, the labels are to be (for most of them) re-regenerated manually.
  
  

You’re at the right place if :

• Mandatory! : Enrolled in your last year of Master’s degree in computer science
• Knowledge of basic coding languages (C, C++, Java) and ideally Python.
• Basic programming experience (github, personal or student projects).
• Knowledge of databases and operating systems, Linux is a plus.
• Ability to learn new software and technologies quickly, being curious about the coding environment you’ll evolve in.
• Desire to work in a team.
• Detail-oriented.
• Ability to work in an international environment.
• You are fluent in English - French is a plus.
  
  

About the internship :

• Ideal starting date is March/April 2024
• Duration : 5 to 6 months (until August/September 2024)
• Full-time role (35h/week)
• Location : Paris, France
• Contract : You can have an internship agreement provided by your French current school.
