At Back Market, product quality is pivotal to our marketplace’s success. We are looking for an experienced product compliance professional to join the Cross Border Seller Success Team in Hong Kong to make an impact in the supply chain of refurbished electronics.
The team is fast-growing and high-performing, we bring quality sellers of refurbished electronics in Asia to Back Market’s global marketplaces. In this role, your main priorities center on deepening relationships with key refurbisher accounts and developing a reliable network of spare parts suppliers locally.
You will fill the information gap between local supply chain situations and target market customer expectations. You will be able to contribute to the overall business by making product quality assurance possible through establishing reliable networks inside the supply chain ecosystem.

YOUR MISSION (IF YOU ACCEPT IT): 🥇
- Develop local network of reliable spare parts factories or suppliers (i.e. battery, screens).
- Build relationship and partnership with refurbishers and compliance service providers.
- Be able to bridge external network to Back Market organization, especially to work together with the iLab to navigate on Quality Management system that require additional resources (intros to leadership, Product, technical support, etc.) to influence local refurbishment practices and establish way to manage product assurance in a scalable way.
- Manage several key refurbisher seller accounts to collect actionable sellers voices and deepening partnerships.
- Gain and maintain subject-matter expertise on the refurbished devices industry and players, as well as the specific needs, pain points to fill the gap between local supply chain situation versus target market customer expectations.
- Consolidate knowledge and updates on local government policy and supply chain for refurbishment industry.
- 5+ years of experience in consumer electronics supply chain, quality management and account management roles.
- Experience working in Product Compliance team of E-commerce platform, service providers or CE brands.
- Proven project management experience with success in managing deadlines.
- Previous experience with E-commerce platform or fast-growing start up preferred (not mandatory)
- Native Mandarin with experience of Chinese business culture.
- Excellent written and verbal English communication skills.
- Strong business acumen and prioritization with a great sense of impact sizing, urgency, ownership and accountability.
- Ability to work independently and handle the ambiguity that comes with working in an evolving industry and multicultural environment.
- Great listener with pervasiveness and persistence personality to drive result.
- You're passionate to create change with persistence to help merchants, companies and related ecosystem partners growth and to its mission to promote a circular and green economy.
