The position

Job description

Animaj leads the global media industry by creating and delivering premium 3D animation to families worldwide. Traditional animation, rooted in outdated processes since the early ‘90s, lags behind the fast-paced demands of today’s digital economy.

Our innovation addresses the time-intensive nature of traditional animation, where each second can take hours or a week to produce.

Our Values at Animaj

Mission

As a Freelance Product Manager for Internal Tools at Animaj, you will own the end-to-end product lifecycle for our suite of proprietary platforms that power content strategy, publishing operations, and creative development. Your mission is to transform internal workflows by delivering tools that measurably accelerate decision-making and reduce friction across teams.

Scope

You will be responsible for three product areas:

Audience Intelligence Platform – Our data-driven system that analyzes YouTube performance patterns to surface actionable insights: identifying what makes top-performing videos succeed within a given concept, generating editorial and creative recommendations (audio, visuals, pacing, topics), and detecting whitespace opportunities where high-potential content formats remain underexploited.

YouTube Publishing Tool – Our centralized platform for scheduling uploads, managing channel metadata, creating compilations, and handling thumbnail workflows across our portfolio of channels.

Creative Development Tools – Internal applications supporting EDP (Editorial Development Process) creation and creative workflow automation.

Responsibilities

Discovery & Framing – Partner with users to clarify needs and define problems worth solving. Deliver well-scoped problem statements that align teams around outcomes rather than features.

Specification & Design – Collaborate with business stakeholders and engineering to produce functional specifications that balance user needs, technical feasibility, and business impact.

Roadmap Planning – Work with the Engineering Manager, Data Analysts, and Software Engineers to sequence work, manage dependencies, and maintain a realistic, outcome-driven roadmap.

Delivery & Iteration – Drive product development through frequent user feedback loops, refining specs and priorities as you learn. Ensure each release moves the needle on adoption and value delivered.

Preferred experience

Required Skills

  • Ability to rapidly absorb business context, understand team workflows, and identify high-impact pain points

  • Ruthless prioritization discipline, with a track record of quantifying business value (time saved, cost reduced, revenue enabled) to inform trade-offs

  • Technical fluency sufficient to engage meaningfully with engineers on architecture, data models, and implementation constraints

  • Change management expertise: designing rollout plans, running training sessions, and driving adoption across diverse user groups

  • Hands-on experience with LLMs, AI agents, and AI-augmented workflows, ideally in a product implementation context

Recruitment process

  • 1 Recruiter Interview

  • 1 Interview with Antoine (CTO)

  • 1 Interview with Sixte (CEO)
