The Opportunity

As Data Analyst & Business Strategy – Finance Intern you will join our Global Finance Team, working closely with the Senior Analysis – Finance and Strategy and become an integral part of partnering the Global Commercial Team. In this role, you will have the opportunity to support decision-making through data analysis, reporting, and trend identification. As you gain hands-on experience, you will contribute to the success of our team reaching their financial targets while advancing your knowledge and experience. Data analytics & Reporting

  • Review, develop and maintain our internal reporting packaging in Tableau:
  • Sunset legacy reports
  • Assess current reporting needs/gaps and improve existing or create new dashboards to help the teams run more efficiently and gain more visibility into their performance.
  • Monitor data accuracy and drive change across the organization to improve the reliability of our data
  • Build partner sell-through reports from our global partners to help ensure the inventory levels of our distribution network are healthy

Business Strategy & Process Improvement

  • Review and propose improvements to our existing processes through automation, documentation and behavior change
  • Develop, improve and maintain financial models that allow the commercial team to make better educated decisions
  • Conduct benchmark analysis on our current distribution footprint worldwide
  • Research the latest trends in the world of wine and wine preservation, namely:
  • Market size trend
  • Key drivers of the industry
  • Key players’ performance
  • Conduct in-depth product performance analysis to identify potential product portfolio optimizations or share best practices across the organization
  • Analyze other financial and non-financial metrics to help identify other areas of improvement for Coravin

Ad hoc projects

  • Support Coravin in its pursue to improving customer onboarding journey and retention
  • Other projects might come up during the internship depending on business needs

Experience & Requirements:

  • Enrolled at a Dutch University for the duration of the internship in a relevant field e.g. Business
  • Available from September for a minimum of 6 months
  • Fluent in English (if you have other language skills e.g. French, Italian, Spanish, Dutch, German then that is a bonus).
  • Passionate about data and analytics
  • Naturally curious and has a beginner mindset - approaching tasks, challenges, or learning experiences with openness, and a willingness to learn.
  • Comfortable working independently and part of a culturally diverse team
  • Fluency in Excel, comfortable handling large datasets
  • Understanding or experience of BI software, either Power BI or Tableau
  • Understanding or experience of Alteryx or similar data prep software
  • Proficient in other Microsoft Office applications – outlook, word, powerpoint
  • Right to work/Work permit/Visa
